Well my computer is back and I plan to be far more paranoid as to where I go on the web and what I click on. I also changed my anti-virus program from Avast to Microsoft Security Essentials as a friend, who knows more about such things, recommended the switch.

I just got home from the monthly meeting of the NYC Atheists where we had Mitchell Stephens, author of Imagine There's No Heaven: How Atheism Helped Create the Modern World, speak to us. Afterwards a bunch of us went out to dinner at the nearby Szechuan Gourmet restaurant where I had shrimp and vegetables and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. It also helped that we didn't get any snow yesterday and it's actually looking like spring might be arriving *fingers crossed*

What did I miss re computer?! I always 'see' you on Facebook so presume you're fine and dandy. I feel like a bad friend now for being out of the loop. I spend far too much time on silly games, well one silly game, Farm Town, but enjoy it so much. I always wanted a farm since being a whippersnapper! ;)

Your meal out sounds delicious, I do like how you eat and you're so sensible. I hanker to be like that.

Can't believe you've still got snow, we have daffodils and it's all looking very spring like here.

I'm lucky that a friend lets me use her computer so I'm not completely cut off otherwise I think I'd go into some form of withdrawal.

Lucky you with the daffodils and spring. I took a friend's dog on a walk to the park and only saw one tree/bush with new leaves *sigh*

Really, you're that far behind spring-wise? It's blustery and grey here today, but still spring like all over with the magnolias and other blossom trees. What's the dog called? I miss my dog. That is a good friend you have with the computer and yes I know what you mean about withdrawal, the trouble I've had over the years, but I'm laughing now I'm living with Mum, she has constant Broadband and I've inherited my poor cousin Gerald's old laptop, it's only XP but I prefer it anyways so I'm really pleased.

I have 2 friends who live across the street from each other. One has a Welsh Springer spaniel named Emma (and whose niece, who currently lives with her, has a long-haired Chihuahua named Daphne) and the other has a mini-Labradoodle named Amber. What happened to your dog? And if you're living with your mom where should I send your b'day present?

Be careful with XP as Microsoft has dropped its support of it and will no longer send updates to repair any problems with it.

The thought of a dog being called Daphne like my sister just cracks me up! My dog hurt his leg and had to be put to sleep. :( I can't think about it, I've lost him and 2 other pets this year. I don't have any now at Mums. :( Not having a great year really.

Shak can I ask you a funnypec question? I hope you won't be offended. I was wondering if/what you sent me for Christmas as you usually send me wonderful presents and I always write them down in my diary and I've not filled it in for some reason and my memory is rubbish now and I can't remember!

You don't have to send me anything of course though I do look forward to a nice surprise. When do you celebrate your 'summer' birthday? :D

I now live with Mum permanently at 61 Heatherway, Ashton-on-Mersey, Sale, Gtr Manchester M33 5JY but don't feel obliged really. You send me lovely things and I usually send you just books and stuff.

Daffy is one of her nicknames and she really is that at times. So sorry to hear about your dogs. They lead such short lives yet fill ours with love.

I know I mailed you a present on December 14 as I found the email I sent you. Did it never show up? I sent it to you at the Derbyshire address so would it be forwarded if you now live with your mum? I can't recall what I sent darn it. If it didn't show up I'll be sure to send you something special for your b'day and to the correct address.

No worries Shak, I have no doubt it did arrive but out of all your lovely presents I just can't place it as being of this last Christmas...I'm an idiot. :) It would get to me at Derbyshire address as that's my sons who I go to visit every Sunday. I'm at Mum's now though 61 Heatherway, Ashton-on-Mersey, Sale, Gtr Manchester M33 5JY 0161 915 3959 :D
